About Us
Formed in 1987 by a partnership between churches in Bromley North and Bromley Social Services, Careplus has consistently provided practical and social help to older people in the London Borough of Bromley.
We work with individuals, statutory and voluntary agencies in our aim to provide free local volunteer support for older people in the London Borough of Bromley to meet their needs for befriending, social support and practical assistance.
The
charity's volunteers give support in the form of befriending, shopping and transport (trips to medical appointments).
We also organise occasional outings and run gentle exercise classes to help older people stay active and meet others.
Careplus is funded through donations from local churches and individuals, grants from trusts and fundraising events, and relies on the goodwill of the community to continue its work.
