What we do.

We aim to provide regular social contact through home-based visits to build friendships and help older people keep in touch with their community, alleviating their feelings of isolation and increasing their confidence and self-esteem.

As a result people are able to eat better, access medical and social appointments through our transport service. Also potential mental and/or physical health problems are spotted earlier, reducing the need for statutory care. Our local volunteers endeavour to meet individual needs and further our aim of supporting individuals in their own homes for as long as possible.

The support we aim to give includes:

Shopping

Befriending

Transport to/from medical appointments

Signposting to sources of information
